Power and drivability improvements must be done without putting the engine at risk and nobody does this better than GIAC. Our customers are a testament to these principles of “Do No Harm” while improving power, torque, and throttle response in the most useful RPM ranges. Software is custom-tailored to each car, based on local fuel octanes and any engine modifications.
Rennsport Systems offers GIAC performance chips & software (flash) for all Porsches built from 1995-onward (993 through 991.2). Performance enhancing software requires the use of 91 octane (pump) or better. We also make custom chips for race gas applications as well. Please call 503.244.0990 for specific application details.

Naturally aspirated cars typically see 12HP-15HP/TQ gains depending on fuel & engine condition. Look to see if your ECU is listed here. Euro (ROW) ECU’s can also be done, but call for additional information.
’95: 0.261.203.163, 0.261.203.674, 0.261.203.675 (’95); $600 (these are socketed)
’97 & ’98: 0.261.204.376 and 0.261.204.649 (’97-’98); $1400 This is an in-house flash since these chips are soldered in. (Immobilizer can be disabled if requested). ’96 cars are not re-programmable and must use a ’97 ECU.
’97 Twin-Turbo: 0.261.204.377; $2500. 440HP, 480HP or 520 HP, depending on turbochargers and fuel. ’96 Turbo cars are not re-programmable and must use a ’97 ECU. Additional front oil coolers are strongly recommended.
